HOW DO I TRANSFER MY CASE FROM ANOTHER LAWYER?

If you are unhappy with your present lawyer to the extent that the attorney/client relationship has irretrievably broken down, we will help you re-evaluate whether you should remain with your current lawyer or transfer your file to our firm. It is not always in your best interests to move your file, we will therefore review your file very carefully to make sure that you make the right decision. Some of the reasons why a client transfers his or her file are as follows:
a) there has been an undue delay with the prosecution of their claim within a reasonable time;
b) the lawyer fails to do regular updates with the client;
c) the lawyer has refused to return many telephone calls to the client;
d) the lawyer is requesting the client to accept a quick settlement before the client has reached maximum medical recovery;

Once a decision has been made by you to transfer your file, we will contact your former lawyer and request your file be delivered to our offices with an account for work already done. You can be rest assured that you will not be penalized by having to pay more fees merely because you have transferred lawyers. We will ensure that your former lawyers account is paid in full upon the settlement of your case.

If for some reason you cannot make it to our office, we will be more than happy to send one of our lawyers to your home or the hospital to consult with you about you rights. All consultations are arranged around your schedule and convenience. For you convenience we consult by appointment in the evenings and weekends.
